Transylvania Tour
As part of the congress tour, a daily trip will be made to the Transylvania region on 12th of September (last day of the congress). The tour bus will depart at 07:00 and return to Piteşti at 21:00. However, participants should take into consideration of unexpected problems and resulting possible delay when planning their returns.
During the trip, Bran Castle (Dracula Castle), one of the most famous buildings in Romania, and the city of Braşov, one of the most important cultural routes, will be visited.
Bran Castle (Dracula’s Castle)
The castle was built by Saxons in 1377 who were given the privilege by Louis I of Hungary. It is a national monument and landmark in Transylvania. The fortress is on the Transylvanian side of the historical border with Wallachia, on road DN73. Commonly known outside Transylvania as Dracula’s Castle, it is known as the home of the title character in Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Brasov
Brasov, one of the largest cities in Romania, is an indispensable route for travel lovers with its historical texture. The city of Brasov is one of the most interesting cities in Romania with the Brasov Historical Center, Piața Sfatului, Catherine’s Gate, Citadel of The Guard, Feldioara Fortress and many other historical buildings.
